We’re driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Manchester by working across organisational boundaries.

The first health and social care staff have been deployed to us from April 2018 and are now starting to work in new ways across the city. Our teams work as one in the neighbourhoods they serve – delivering and designing services in partnership with local people. We also provide key services that work across wider localities and city-wide. An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Manchester Community Services for a Team Administrator to work for the Podiatry Service. The post will be based at Northenden Health Centre but the postholder may be asked to work in other locations across South Manchester.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced administrator who is an excellent communicator, organised and able to work well under pressure. The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to teams of healthcare professionals. The role will involve the coordination and implementation of office procedures and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems. The post holder will often be the first point of contact and a focal point for the service requiring clear communication and liaison skills. They will be responsible for managing and prioritising their own workload and will be required to use their own initiative.

You should be competent in word processing RSA 2/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification along with a good understanding of Excel, organised and possess a recognised educational standard in English and Maths and/or equivalent demonstrable skills i.e. good command and understanding of English language/literature and numerical skills. Experience of general office procedures is also desirable.   Excellent keyboard and data inputting skills are needed as is the understanding of the importance in maintaining confidentiality.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team at a community base and provide cross cover during periods of staff absence.
