To offer you some history, the story starts with Manchester, Trafford and the surrounding areas which provide an incredibly varied and dynamic challenge for the hospitals serving them. Working collectively under the umbrella of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, our Single Hospital Service was formed on 1st October 2017 and is the result of a merger between University Hospitals of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) and Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) – making us the largest Trust in England with a turnover of £1.6 billion and the third largest provider of specialist Services in the NHS. What’s more, the Trust is also a forward thinking Academic Science Centre at the heart of Health Innovation in the city of Manchester. Operating as a Group model, our Trust comprises of 10 hospitals:

With a sound ability to effectively liaise with a range of people/departments at all levels, you’ll work both individually and as part of a team to support the diary management and associated workload of the Associate Director of Workforce Governance & Quality and Heads of HR. You’ll have:


  • Proven experience working in a busy, confidential PA environment
  • Excellent PA/administrative skills
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in line with CMFT requirements
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, organise workload and time effectively
  • Ability to deal with complex diary management
  • Ability to accurately minute meetings
  • A proactive, positive and flexible attitude
  • RSA III typing
