A permanent position has arisen for a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician within the Dispensary Services team, on the Oxford Road Campus (ORC)

The Pharmacy Department is established as a clinical support directorate and employs approximately 300 staff. Pharmacy's role is to support the safe and effective use of medicines for all our patients. We do this through a number of teams of highly trained pharmacists, technicians, assistants and support staff who specialise in different aspects of medicines use. The department prides ourselves on being patient focused and have become an integral part of the ward teams.

As would be expected for a major teaching hospital, we provide a pharmacy service seven days a week and have staff on site 24 hours a day in order to ensure medicines and pharmacy advice is available at all times.

You duties will include rota management, staff training and supervision, carrying out staff appraisals and accuracy checking.  You must be able to demonstrate good skills in operational management and training of staff. You must be self motivated and able to motivate others whilst maintaining adequate staff skill mix within various areas of the Inpatient Pharmacy.
