Senior Clinical Fellow in HIV Medicine (ST3+ equivalent)

We are looking to recruit 1 full time post. The above post is available with immediate effect for 1 year fixed-term.

The Northern Sexual Health, Contraception and HIV Service has been formed from the following seven previously separate services as a result of recent tendering processes: Manchester Centre for Sexual Health (within the Hathersage Centre) Palatine Contraception service (within the Hathersage Centre) North Manchester General Hospital Sexual Health Clinic  Withington Sexual Health Clinic  Choices Centre/ Central Youth, Stockport  The Orange Rooms, Tameside  Urmston Integrated Sexual Health Clinic

The Hathersage Centre (part of Manchester Royal Infirmary) moved to new purpose built accommodation in May 2008. The centre caters to the sexual health needs of the nearby resident population, university students and the large workforce that travels into the city of Manchester during the day. The department provides outpatient treatment and care of over 2000 HIV positive patients, whilst the in-patient care for patients is provided within the Trust jointly managed with General Medicine colleagues. The busy outpatient service is complemented by the work of dedicated HIV Clinical Nurse Specialists, HIV pharmacists and a full-time Administrator. 

The post holder will work a 40 hour week and participate in a non-resident on call rota at a frequency of 1 in 4 with internal cover. They will be expected to undertake 5 outpatient clinics per week, one of which will be evening clinic.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service.
