Clinical Research Fellow in ENT

This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a tertiary ENT centre, gaining experience in head and neck oncology, Rhinology and Otology within a supportive learning environment.

Within this role, you will work as part of a team of 5 Clinical Fellows and be responsible for the day to day management of patients under ENT. This will include daily ward rounds, clerking acute admissions and working with registrars to co-ordinate patient care.

Your weekly timetable is designed to provide a balanced clinical experience with dedicated time for theatre and clinics where you will be able to expand your surgical skills under supervision and expand your procedural skills. There are also excellent opportunities to expand your Research, Clinical Audit, Quality Improvement and Teaching portfolios with several projects both departmental and trust wide.

Several of our Clinical fellows work on trust wide quality improvement projects, with some choosing to focus their research time on Education. The department welcomes 4th year medical students for 1 week placements and there are ample opportunities for teaching as part of this.

As a major tertiary referral centre, we offer general training as well as unique specialist exposure, with exciting opportunities in research and audit leading on, in many cases to publication.

Your training needs will be discussed with you upon starting with the trust, we pride ourselves on being able to offer each clinical fellow a unique experience that is catered to their own training goals.

Out of Hours you will cross Cover ENT, Urology, Cardiothoracic and Renal Transplant.
