We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us in developing the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. This is a full time 10 Programmed Activity (PA) post.

Applicants for this post must have extensive experience in general medical, surgical (including neonatal), cardiac and neurosurgical paediatric intensive care. Candidates with a research interest are particularly encouraged to apply.  Research PAs would be incorporated in the job plan according to funding streams identified.

RMCH is designated as a Lead Centre for PICU within the UK and participates in the training of Grid Trainees in Paediatric Intensive Care. There are approximately 4000 intensive care bed days per year (over 750 admissions per year). Day to day care of children in the PICU is managed and led by the team of eight WTE PICU consultants in consultation with subspecialties as appropriate.
