Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 20,000 staff.

We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

We are the main provider of hospital care to approximately 750,000 people in Manchester and Trafford and the single biggest provider of specialised services in the North West of England. We are also the lead provider for a significant number of specialised services including Breast Care, Vascular, Cardiac, Respiratory, Urology, Cancer, Paediatrics, Women’s Services, Ophthalmology and Genomic Medicine.

Our vision is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population by building an organisation that:

  • Excels in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation and teaching
  • Attracts, develops and retains great people
  • Is recognised internationally as a leading healthcare provider

It’s all here for you. World-class specialist Pharmacy and Medicine Optimisation services in an integrated health, teaching, research and innovation campus. Training and opportunities only England’s largest NHS Trust can offer.

Everything you need is here at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

Our Aseptic Unit provides a number of services and looks after 11 clean rooms, including a Gene Therapy Suite focused on Neonatal, Paediatric & Adult PN, Adult & Paediatric Chemotherapy, CIVAS activities and Clinical Trials.

As a Pharmacy Technician within Aspetics, you will work alongside colleagues as you supply aseptically prepared products and services to our hospitals.

It’s important you’re already a registered Professional Pharmacy Technician (GPhC), but you don’t need ward or hospital experience to join our team as we will support you through our in-house pharmacy technician training programme as soon as you join. What we’re really looking for is your enthusiasm for this busy work and a drive to provide excellent patient care to our local population and those who travel from further afield for our specialist services.

We operate a 24hr service and so we do need flexibility as your 37.5 hours will include evenings and weekends.
