We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

We are the main provider of hospital care to approximately 750,000 people in Manchester and Trafford and the single biggest provider of specialised services in the North West of England. We are also the lead provider for a significant number of specialised services including Breast Care, Vascular, Cardiac, Respiratory, Urology Cancer, Paediatrics, Women’s Services, Ophthalmology and Genomic Medicine.

Our vision is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population by building an organisation that:

  • Excels in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation and teaching
  • Attracts, develops and retains great people
  • Is recognised internationally as a leading healthcare provider

This is an exciting time to work at Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). As part of the largest NHS Trust in England our teams are dedicated to working collaboratively to provide outstanding care and improve health outcomes for all out patients.

We are offering two exciting opportunities for dynamic and forward thinking AfC Band 6 Operational Managers who want to be part of either the Respiratory Directorate or the Complex Care Directorate at Wythenshawe Hospital.

The role will be very varied from working with teams on national performance targets, managing the administrative teams and supporting the improvement of the services operationally. There will also be potential to be involved with projects within the Directorates.

The successful candidates will report to their respective Deputy Directorate Managers and will be required to manage administrative teams, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure an excellent quality of service is delivered. This role will be a fantastic platform for future roles providing an excellent experience in operational management. We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude to join a forward thinking innovative team providing excellent patient care.
