Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics pending approval of a substantive post. This is a full time position with 10 programmed activities spread throughout the week. 

The post holder will be part of a dynamic and innovative trauma and orthopaedic team which is looking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a special interest in both Hip & Knee.

The post holder should be able to demonstrate an interest in trauma surgery complementing the sub-speciality interest of current consultant colleagues. Additionally, the post holder will support the general Hip & Knee workload in the department, and will participate in the on-call rota. The post holder will be primarily based at Manchester Royal Infirmary and the Trafford General Hospital but will be expected to work flexibly across multiple sites.

The successful candidate should be fellowship trained and have completed CCST along with full GMC registration and a licence to practice in the UK is required. 

The candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team approach alongside of medical staff, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.

The post will be available from December 2018, on a 6 month fixed term contract.
