Podiatry laboratory technician Band 4

Salary:           Band 4



An opportunity has arisen in the podiatry department within the Manchester Local Care Organisation for a podiatry laboratory technician. The successful post holder will be responsible for manufacturing insoles and orthotics as prescribed by podiatrists. You will be jointly responsible (with another lab technician) for the day to day running of the lab which includes ordering stock, health and safety checks, maintaining small machines and collecting data on the number of devices made. This position would suit somebody who has an interest or experience of producing items/goods, operating machinery and who can demonstrate manual dexterity. You will work alongside members of the podiatry team but the manufacturing work will be carried out on your own. You will be given training and mentorship to develop the skills required.
