We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

We are the main provider of hospital care to approximately 750,000 people in Manchester and Trafford and the single biggest provider of specialised services in the North West of England. We are also the lead provider for a significant number of specialised services including Breast Care, Vascular, Cardiac, Respiratory, Urology, Cancer, Paediatrics, Women’s Services, Ophthalmology and Genomic Medicine.

Our vision is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population by building an organisation that:

  • Excels in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation and teaching
  • Attracts, develops and retains great people
  • Is recognised internationally as a leading healthcare provider

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Cardiac Catheter Labs are looking for enthusiastic Radiographers to supplement our growing Cardiac department.

The Catheter Laboratory suite forms part of the North West Regional Cardiology service. It is one of the busiest in the country, performing in excess of 5500 procedures a year. We provide a 24/7 Primary Angioplasty Service covering the Greater Manchester geographical area. We are a leading structural intervention centre and cover the whole portfolio of procedures including being 1 of only 3 centres in the UK to perform Mitraclip.

We are a multidisciplinary team who work closely together and support each other whilst providing high quality care to our patients.

As a Cardiac Specialist Centre applicants will be expected to take part in a busy on call system. We operate extended working days with a variety of shifts between the hours of 8am and 9pm with weekend working commitments.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established team. If you would like an informal visit or further information please contact us.
