A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Matron to become part of the Clinical Site management team. The post involves becoming part of an already established team of pathway co-ordinators managing flow across the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

In this role you will work with the clinical site manager, pathway coordinator teams, operational managers, nursing teams and clinicians across the site to ensure safe and effective flow aligned to the Trust Escalation Processes. You will be key to ensuring safe and effective delivery of patient pathways to maximise patient flow across the Manchester Royal Infirmary. You will be responsible for leading safe, resilient and consistent operational site management and facilitate safe and effective discharge in line with the Trust Policies and Procedures and SAFER standards.

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, enthusiastic, inspirational senior nurse who is passionate about delivering the best patient care and can provide leadership and strategic direction for patient flow and site services at MRI. You will be pro-active, have experience of being able to manage complex situations and developing solutions which result in positive outcomes whilst ensuring that service needs and patient experience are met to the exceptional high standards we aspire to.

You will work closely with the Clinical Site Manager, Divisional Directors and Divisional teams to ensure excellent patient experience across all pathways. Supported by the clinical Site Manager, managing the patient pathway co-ordinator teams, you will be an integral part of the senior nursing team and contribute fully to the strategic direction of the MRI.

You should be an experienced senior nurse with proven experience at a leadership level. You should have evidence of delivering and sustaining transformational change across complex settings, focused on patient outcomes. You will need to have the ability to engage with all levels of staff and experience of leading human resources consultation processes and building new teams.
